We make you feel better with fresh & tasty food.

The location in Menai Bridge, mere steps from the pretty, tree-fringed waters of the Menai Strait, and the touching story of how the restaurant got its moniker, help to cement this firmly in our minds as one of the most memorable, heart-warming and original places to eat on the island.

Our Culture

Without Passion, There is no Taste

Some say it with flowers, but when Bangor-born chef-owner Mike Jones wanted to remember a dear friend who passed away he decided to dedicate his restaurant to him, naming it after Ren Gill’s song and album Freckled Angels.

The Spirit

It is a fabulous venue for parties and very popular during the Christmas period.

The Environment

The small plates menu packs a punch with its Welsh-meets-the-world flavours

Superb eateries with tapas type dishes from different cuisines. Relaxing ambience, friendly efficient service and excellent food. The yuzu meringue pie was out of this world! Good value for money. Highly recommended.

Every bite was "omg this is lush..." Honestly the best food we have had in a long time. It seems really unassuming from the outside and the decor but really very delicious food. And the service was excellent and friendly. 109% recommend!

The food was served in Tapas style, with very creative selections. The flavours were very well balanced with various textures, which excited and delighted the taste buds. All of the dishes that we had were delicious, especially the cod and the pork belly.
